About

Welcome to our 'Quests 2 Teach' WebQuest toolkit.

Our aim is to introduce UK educational practitioners to WebQuests and how they can be used to support not only teaching and learning, but also citizenship and the link between e-learning and e-government as a socially inclusive and engaging resource, which puts the learner in control of their own learning. They are an appropriate tool for schools and the Post 16 sector [including the community and voluntary sector].

This toolkit will provide you with information, advice and guidance.

Once you have created your WebQuest website and selected from choice of pre-formatted View available templates, you can then use the basic principles of 'add', 'edit' or 'delete' elements to create your own WebQuest. An element can be a text component, graphic, message board etc.

You can edit your web site at any time and through any machine with Internet access. The website is instantly available within the public domain and enables learning to take place outside the formal learning environment and at a time and place suitable to the learner.
