Manifesto
An Educational Manifesto
I believe:
• children come to us with a wealth of knowledge to share
• children can be a wonderful resource for each other and for us
• children provide us with insight about themselves as well as about us
• all children can be successful
• children are a gift, placed in our hands for a limited time, to be encouraged, supported, and guided, then set free
I know:
• all children do not learn in the same ways
• children have many talents to tap into that are often overlooked
• children are capable of great things
• children bless us with their innocent insights on life
• all children are capable of great learning
I understand:
• I will not make a difference in the life of every child
• I will make a difference in the lives of many children
• I am one of the most influential people a child will encounter, for better or worse
• more about myself each day I spend with a child
