Microsoft Software Image bank

Following a survey during July 2003, it was identified that surveyed ACL providers wanted more resources for basic ICT. Therefore, we have created over 1300 screen grabs from popular Microsoft Applications and also the keyboard. Although some are repeated across applications, and there are good reasons for this, we would estimate that there are over 1200 unique grabs across:

  • Microsoft Powerpoint
  • Microsoft Word
  • Microsoft Excel
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer
  • Microsoft Windows 98
  • Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition
  • The Keyboard

All images are provided in 'jpg' format so that they may be used to create new, or augment existing resources, as part of a web page, within a Virtual Learning Environment [VLE], or as part of a paper resource etc. They are also easy and quick to download [for people with poor Internet connections] and to store on to floppy disks.

To save images, place you cursor on top of the image, right click and select 'save picture as'.

We hope that this will:

  1. Provide content for practitioners to create, or augment their own content, using popular and commonly used Microsoft applications.
  2. Provide something unique which will clearly benefit all ACL practitioners, at all levels.
  3. Encourage ACL practitioners to send in to the CLR team resources they have created, in order to share good practice.
  4. Encourage further debate on the APOLLO discussion group, as to the types of resources ACL practitioners want to see on The Community Learning Resource.
Please note that this image bank is a temporary holding resource, utilising temporary software whilst the new website and image bank resource is being commissioned and built.
