This webquest has been designed for the Year Six pupils at South Farnham School, Farnham, Surrey. It links together their learning in literacy, history and ICT and is designed to provide fully independent activities to be completed during their final term at school. The activities are designed to run alongside their study of Michelle Magorian's outstanding book: Goodnight Mister Tom (ISBN 0 14 037233 4.) They also draw upon the children's understanding of what it was like to live in Britain during World War Two. It is assumed that the children using these activities have developed a certain standard of ICT skills and are able to access the school's network and programs independently.
