Task One: Birthday Boy!
Willie wakes up on his sixth day in Little Weirwold a little bemused about the fact that it is his birthday. Read chapter nine and find out how his new friends help him celebrate this special day.
Your task is to find out how other special occasions were celebrated during the war years. Visit the websites and produce an invite to a celebration of your choice. On your invite include:
Information about what the celebration is for,
Where the celebration will be held,
What food and drinks will be provided,
What entertainment will be provided.
Remember, food and other goods were rationed so you will need to consider what families did in order to provide for their guests. Once you have finished your invitation, email it to your teacher.
